Gold, Khourey & Turak and WTOV-TV 9 are celebrating another successful New Year’s Eve. This past New Year’s Eve marked the 15th consecutive year that GKT and WTOV have partnered to provide free cab rides to those who needed a safe ride home. Chris Turak from GKT is a personal injury attorney and one of the organizers.
“Every year dozens of people take advantage of our offer, and this year was no different,” says personal injury attorney Chris Turak of Gold, Khourey & Turak. “We do our part by offering to pay for the ride home, but we can’t pick up the phone and call the cab company for you. Those that took advantage of the free cab rides are helping to keep our roads safe for everyone, and we appreciate your support of this program,” says Turak.
The free cab rides home began at 10 p.m. New Year’s Eve and lasted until 3 a.m. New Year’s Day. Cab companies that participated in the promotion included BMG Transport in Wheeling and Yellow Cab of Moundsville.
