GKT’s New Year’s Eve Cab Rides A Success
Gold, Khourey & Turak and WTOV-TV 9 are celebrating another successful New Year’s Eve promotion helping to make the Ohio Valley a safer place for families. This past New Year’s Eve marked the 21st consecutive year that GKT and WTOV have partnered to provide free taxicab rides to people needing a safe ride home.
As a personal injury law firm that represents people injured or killed by drunk drivers, GKT sees firsthand the tragic results of crashes caused by impaired drivers. That’s why GKT is committed to making our roads safer on New Year’s Eve and throughout the rest of the year.
“Every year quite a few people take advantage of our offer and let us make sure they get home safely. This year was no different. More importantly, it means our roads and communities were that much safer for all drivers and families,” says Attorney Christopher Turak of Gold, Khourey & Turak. “If we can prevent one driver from driving while impaired, then the program is a success. During the 21 years of the program, we have helped hundreds of people ring in the New Year and arrive home safely.”
The free cab rides were offered from 10 p.m. New Year’s Eve until 3 a.m. New Year’s Day. GKT expresses their gratitude to IC Cab Company for their continued support of the program.
