Christian E. Turak is a partner at Gold, Khourey & Turak and leads the firm’s Oil and Gas Practice.  Christian joined GKT in 2014 and quickly dedicated his practice to the area of oil and gas law.  Within five years, Christian helped transform GKT into the most successful oil and gas law firm in the Ohio Valley and West Virginia.

Christian is dedicated to helping land and mineral owners obtain more compensation, better protection, and agreements on their terms.  He understands your property is more than just a number on a piece of paper—it’s oftentimes your home, your livelihood, and your legacy. As Christian’s reputation for delivering results for his clients has grown, Christian has and continues to represent land and mineral owners from Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler, Doddridge, Harrison, Monongalia, Marion, Ritchie, Putnam, and Lewis counties in West Virginia and Monroe, Belmont, Jefferson, Harrison, and Carroll counties in Ohio.

Christian has negotiated hundreds of millions of dollars of pipeline and lease agreements for thousands of clients.  He was an integral member of the legal team that secured a historic lease agreement worth more than $100 million for hundreds of mineral owners in Marshall and Ohio counties in West Virginia and Greene County, Pennsylvania. Christian has also organized and led several landowner groups containing hundreds of clients to negotiate against pipeline companies threatening eminent domain.

Apart from his work at GKT, Christian serves as a board member for the Appalachia Chapter of the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) and the Northern Panhandle HOME Consortium. He also serves as the city attorney for the City of Cameron in Marshall County and the Town of Pine Grove in Wetzel County.  Christian also visits local high schools as part of the Booze & Cruise, You’ll Lose program, which educates students about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Christian and his wife, Maggie, reside in Marshall County with their two daughters.

Christian provides free consultations and is available to discuss all your oil and gas challenges. Contact Christian today at (304) 845-9750 or
