The 1st annual pizza eating contest was a lot of fun and a huge success. Special thanks to Tony DeFelice of DeFelice Brothers Pizza in Moundsville for sponsoring the event and donating the pizza and the prize. The prize was a extra large pizza a month for a year, given on a gift card with a value of $175! The winner also received a unique plaque. The plaque was the shape and size of medium pizza, and the vinyl photo on the pizza was that of a DeFelice Brothers pizza. A truly unique and one-of-a-kind prize.

Participants for the 1st annual event were: Ben Lenz, Bridgeport VFD; Matt Garey, Moundsville VFD; Dave Bluzek, Lafferty VFD; Ron Walker, Moundsville City Fire; and Rod Vaught, Ohio County Sheriff’s Department. To round out the competition, Wanda Shreve, Christy Bamberger, Quinton Burge, Kayla Kittle, and Nathaniel Turner also participated.
