Wheeling Central vs. Wheeling Park

***CONTEST ENDED IN A TIE. TEAMS WILL COMPLETE AT LATER DATE***

Agility Relay

Object: A contestant from each school races down the ice maneuvering through cones with puck. The skater to complete the course first is the winner.
Central: GT Blass
WPHS: Marcus Black
Winner: GT Blass, Wheeling Central
Wheeling Central Leads Competition 1-0

Speed Race

Object: Each contestant races around the ice separately, best time wins.
WPHS: Chris King 15.00 seconds, Winner
Central: Matt Pockl 15.10 seconds
Winner: This race was extremely close with an almost photo finish.
Competition Tied 1-1

Breakaway Shot

Object: Each team has selected a participant and a goalie, the team’s participant will face-off with other school’s goalie and attempt to make a goal. If there is a tie another member of the team will have a 2nd chance.

1st Round
Central: Ryan Herron against Wheeling Park’s Goalie – Brian Blawut, Goal Scored
WPHS: Shayne Wilson against Wheeling Central’s Goalie – Tom Pie, Goal Scored

2nd round
Central: GT Blass against Wheeling Park Goalie - Brian Blawut, Shot Blocked
WPHS: Marcus Black against Wheeling Central Goalie - Tom Pie, Shot Blocked

3rd round
Central: Matt Pockl against Wheeling Park Goalie - Brian Blawut, Shot Blocked
WPHS: Chris King against Wheeling Central Goalie - Tom Pie, Shot Blocked

At this point we went through the players again (at least two more players competed) with the contest ending in a tie due to time constraints.
