Community Christmas Tree Lighting Scheduled for Dec. 11th
The staff of Gold, Khourey & Turak would like to invite the community to join them at the 6th Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting on Wednesday, December 11th from
4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at their office located at 510 Tomlinson Avenue in Moundsville.
The evening’s festivities will begin with the Moundsville City Fire Department escorting Santa Claus through town and down Tomlinson Avenue to 510 Tomlinson Avenue. Santa is expected to arrive around 4:30 p.m. and will be available for photos with children until
6:00 p.m.. Bob Gray from Bob Gray’s Photography will be on hand to take the photos, and all photos with Santa are free, courtesy of Gold, Khourey & Turak. The OPUS Music Club will sing your favorite Christmas carols from 5:00 - 5:30 p.m., and the official tree lighting will occur around 5:30 p.m.. This year’s tree is a beautiful 16 ½ foot Canadian fir that was generously donated by Ted Wierzbicki, owner of Wierzbicki Christmas Tree Farm in Lansing, Ohio. Hot chocolate, cider, and cookies provided by Jayne’s Cookie Jar will be served in the lobby throughout the evening. Special thanks to Stanley Blankenship for his help with the tree, and Chief Noel Clarke for delivering Santa to our office.
