2007 Scenario

It’s October 20th, football Friday! Weirton Madonna just won a big game against Wheeling Central. This is a big night and everyone wants to celebrate the victory. Anthony Rees, his sister, Natalie, and his girlfriend, Sarah Howells head to Mario’s to celebrate. Ryan Rokisky, Abbey Smith, Marquis Campbell, and Katie Lesho are supposed to meet them at Mario’s but decide at the last minute to go to a friend’s house to celebrate instead.

Ryan, Abbey, Marquis, and Katie arrive at their friend’s house and realize no parents are home. Some of their friends are handing out drinks to celebrate. Marquis and Katie are more than happy to join in, after all, this is one of the biggest wins in school history. Ryan and Abbey decide not to drink, and are very uncomfortable being there. They try to get Marquis to take them home, but Marquis ignores them and continues to party. Abbey reminds Marquis that she has to be home by midnight. Around midnight, Marquis is tired of listening to Ryan and Abbey and, finally, agrees to take them home. Ryan tries to talk Marquis into letting him drive, but by this time Marquis is so upset that he won’t listen to anything Ryan has to say. Marquis claims he had only a few beers and is o.k. to drive. Ryan and Abbey are so happy to be leaving that they agree to allow Marquis to drive.

On the way down Marland Heights hill, Katie’s favorite song comes on. Katie turns up the radio and starts singing and dancing. Marquis, Ryan and Abbey start singing and dancing too, and no one realizes how fast Marquis is driving. They come up on a sharp curve and need to go in the on-coming lane in order to make the turn. At the same time, Anthony, Natalie and Sarah are heading home from Mario’s. Abbey suddenly realizes they are in the wrong lane and screams at Marquis, but it’s too late. They collide head on with their friends.
