Mock Scenario 2006

Tonight is like any other weekend for teenagers. It's Friday night, everyone is trying to relax, forget about school and celebrate. Unfortunately, the partying soon turns to tragedy.

Earlier in the day, Jack Waddell received his Senior Research paper back and he had "aced" it! All his hard work had paid off. Jack called his friends, Kunal Malik, George Reusser, and Ester Adams to help him celebrate. His uncle had invited him over for the weekend, so he was looking forward to partying with his friends.

It was around 8:00 p.m. when Jack arrived at his uncle's house on Hawthorne Court. Shortly after, his uncle received a call and had to go out of town for business. He congratulated Jack again on his achievement, and told him to help himself to any beer in the fridge and said he would see him on Sunday.

While waiting for his friends to arrive, Jack decided to have a beer. He had eaten a big lunch and dinner, so he wasn't too concerned about drinking a few beers. It was about 9:00 p.m. when Kunal, George, and Ester finally showed up. Jack immediately suggested a game of quarters. Kunal and George readily agreed, but Ester wasn't feeling well so she chose to just watch. After about an hour, Jack, Kunal and George had each consumed 4 beers. At 10:00 p.m., Jack decided to call his girlfriend, Sara Mueller, and invited her to join their party. Sara was on her way home from a track meet where she had won 1 st Place in the high jump with a personal best of 6 feet. She wanted to join the party, but was exhausted. However, she agreed to meet them at Sheetz for a few minutes on her way home.

About 10:30 p.m., Jack, Kunal, George, and Ester leave for Sheetz. Jack asks to drive Ester's new car. At first, Ester isn't sure since Jack has been drinking, but gives him the keys since they were only going a short distance to Sheetz. As they pull into Sheetz, Jack and Kunal start to argue. Sara arrives and notices Jack and Kunal are engaged in a shouting and shoving match in the parking lot. She attempts to find out why Jack is so upset at Kunal, but the situation gets worse. Jack is being unreasonable, so Sara yells for Kunal to get in her car. Sara and Kunal head down National Road back to Linsly. Jack is furious, he jumps into Ester's car and peels out after them. Ester, still in the passenger seat, keeps telling Jack to slow down and stop, but Jack drives faster. Jack cuts in front of on-coming traffic and pulls onto Leatherwood lane out of control and hits a vehicle that was stopped at the traffic light head-on. The vehicle they hit was being driven by Evan Oslund. His passengers are Natalie George and Mary Guin. They were heading to Blockbuster to rent some DVDs.
