Pony Baseball
Legal Players
- The league has an option to use the Traditional and/or the AND UNDER in each age group. The decision to use the Traditional or AND UNDER program is strictly a League decision.
****The Mountaineer Baseball Association follows the Traditional rule.
- If the League does decide to use the AND UNDER program a player can only move up one age group. (EXAMPLE) A Bronco age player 11 or 12 years old will only be allowed to move up to the Pony age.
- Players playing up must abide by the pitching rules of that age group.
- Players must abide by all the rules and regulations in order to be eligible for tournament play.
- Legal age of players shall be:
- SHETLAND: Players of league age 4, 5 and 6 born between May 1, 2002 and
April 30, 2005.
- PINTO:
Traditional (for M.B.A.): Players of league age 7 & 8, born on or between
May 1, 2000 and April 30, 2002.
AND UNDER: Players of league age 8 AND UNDER, born on or between
May 1, 2000 and April 30, 2005.
- MUSTANG:
Traditional (for M.B.A.): Players of league age 9 & 10, born on or between
May 1, 1998 and April 30, 2002.
AND UNDER: Players of league age 10 AND UNDER, born on or between
May 1, 1998 and April 30, 2002.
- BRONCO:
Traditional (for M.B.A.): Players of league age 11 & 12, born on or between
May 1, 1996 and April 30, 1998.
AND UNDER: Players of league age 12 AND UNDER, born on or between
May 1, 1996 and April 30, 2000.
- PONY:
Traditional (for M.B.A.): Players of league age 13 & 14, born on or between
May 1, 1994 and April 30, 1996.
AND UNDER: Players of league age 14 AND UNDER, born on or between
May 1, 1994 and April 30, 1998.
- COLT:
Traditional (for M.B.A.): Players of league age 15 & 16, born on or between
May 1, 1992 and April 30, 1994.
AND UNDER: Players of league age 16 AND UNDER, born on or between
May 1, 1992 and April 30, 1996.
- PALOMINO:
Traditional (for M.B.A.): Players of league age 17, 18 & 19, born on or between May 1, 1989 and April 30, 1992.
AND UNDER: Players of league age 19 AND UNDER, born on or between
May 1, 1989 and April 30, 1994.
