Event: 4th Annual Appreciation Picnic
For: Local Law Enforcement, Fire Personnel and their families
Date: Sunday, October 6, 2002
Time: 1-5:30 p.m.

R.S.V.P.: Although not required, please sign the sign-up sheet on your department's bulletin board by Friday, September 23, 2002. This will help us to plan accordingly. If no sign-up sheet is present, please contact Jonathan Dickerson at 845-9750 or at jld@gkt.com. Please indicate your department and how many children and adults will be attending.

Over the past three years, more than 800 people representing the Wheeling Police Department, Ohio County Sheriff's Department, WV State Police, Bethlehem Police Department, Moundsville Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff's Department, Wetzel County Sheriff's Department, Tyler County Sheriff's Department, Benwood Police Department and the Cameron Police Department have attended the picnic. In our continued efforts to recognize those individuals who protect the residents of our communities, we have extended an invitation to all local fire personnel and their families. We recognize and appreciate the continued efforts of local fire personnel and law enforcement to keep our communities safe.
This year's picnic is sure to be fun for the entire family. Highlights include the NCLETTC AIS Prism Firearms Simulator, live music performed by "Cactus Jack", Bill Stoke's Magic Show, guest appearances by the Wheeling Nailer's mascot, Spike, and WTOV TV 9's Snowbird, a 55" big screen t.v. to catch all the action of the Steelers/Saints game, and much, much more . Several agencies have expressed interest in creating a softball team to play against other departments.
