The source of the donation was a settlement achieved by attorney Donald M. Kresen of Gold, Khourey & Turak, L.C. in a class action suit. As part of the settlement, Wheeling Health Right, Inc. was designated by Gold, Khourey & Turak, L.C. as the beneficiary of the settlement. Wheeling Health Right, Inc. is an organization that provides primary health care services and pharmaceuticals to residents of the northern panhandle of West Virginia and Belmont County, Ohio, who do not have private or governmental insurance.
