Cockayne Giclee Prints Offered for Sale
Nila Chaddock and Christopher Turak of Gold, Khourey and Turak, members of a committee established by the Marshall County Historical Society to preserve the Cockayne Farmhouse , are pictured with a reproduction of an old photo postcard of the house. Built in 1850 in Glen Dale, West Virginia, the farmhouse represents an early piece of Marshall County history. Upon the death of Samuel Cockayne in November, 2001, the property passed to the City of Glen Dale, and the Marshall County Historical Society has undertaken efforts to preserve and renovate the structure.
The prints sell for $40.00 and all proceeds benefit the project. For more information about the project, access www.rootsweb.com/~wvmarsha/cockayne.htm
