HIGH
SCHOOLS COMPETE FOR
BOOZE AND CRUISE, YOU'LL LOSE PROGRAM
"Let the
games begin." All Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (O.V.A.C.)
high school principals will be receiving information by late September
on how their school can compete to win a "Booze
and Cruise, You'll Lose" program. The set of criteria that
needs to be fulfilled is rather easy, but there are only a limited
number of dates available and these dates fill quickly. Rich Wilson,
former attorney at the law firm of Gold,
Khourey & Turak who has served as the Booze and Cruise,
You'll Lose coordinator doesn't want any high school to be left
out. "We try and make it as easy as possible on every school
that is interested in our program," says Wilson. He adds, "If
a high school wants us to come to their school, the first step is
to contact our office and express their interest. From there, we
can assist the school in meeting the other requirements."
With the addition
of high schools in the Marietta and Parkersburg areas, more than
50 high schools will be competing for 8-10 programs in the 2002-2003
school year. If your school is interested in vying for one of these
spots, contact George Bamberger at Gold, Khourey & Turak at
(304) 845-9750 or toll free at (800) 388-2529, or complete the on-line
request form.
